47th International (Intercollegiate) Mining Games

On the 21st and 22nd of March 2025, King Edward Mine will be hosting the 47th International Mining Games competition.

During this competition teams from the UK, Europe, Australia and America will compete in a variety of events based on old mining techniques including mucking (loading a mine cart by hand), swede saw and trackstand among others.
The 21st will see most of the Women’s and Co-Ed events take place and the 22nd will see most of the Men’s and Alumni events take place with surveying occurring on the opposite day.
